And Joe Kopp used all of his tire

I ordered a pro-built shoe after seeing how hard it is to make one
right. Should
be here this week.
Go fast. Take chances.

Yikes! It must be tough to keep going fast enough to win on that bald
tire.
Cool to see Ducati get it.

Probably for the best. Have fun with it. Don't break or tear anything
before August.

Nicky Hayden could try to finish his Grand Slam in Indy if Ducati let
him
ride the mile on Saturday. I signed to encourage them to let him:

No way it'll happen night before a GP and all but would be nice
if they let him try some other time.

Well then. Couple weeks ago asked the doc if there were any
restrictions w/r my shoulder. He said, "No, just don't do anything
stupid".
I replied, "Doc, you've fixed both my knees, plated my ankle so
I could get back to racing for bowling trophies sooner, and now my
shoulder. Do you really think I know anything about stupid?"

The potential risk is obvious, but damn, think of the promotional
potential if he did it. That'd be really cool.

So, you asked if there were restrictions and he said "no"...sounds
like you're good to go.
What was that other stuff about, anyway? The doc just making polite
conversation, I guess. Sounds like a philosophical kind of guy. "Just
don't do anything stupid"; almost like a modern day Confucious. Odd
that he would inject that into a conversation about your shoulder
repair.

He knows me pretty well. My wife worked for him for a while and
he knows that the only reason I see him is so that I can get back
to riding as soon as possible. He's well known for being on-board
with that attitude, works on a bunch of the pro ball and stick guys
locally. Other docs are way more conservative in getting dorks
like me back to their preferred activity.
So it was really just friendly banter.
Go fast. Take chances.
