yes, it's probably my fault that they lied about the HP and I didn't
dyno test the demo model at Sears. Oh wait, they don't have demo
models for lawn mowers. Or dynos...

Am I supposed to feel bad for the poor folks at Sears?

This was not my idea. I just thought I'd share the info.

jeez...

Maybe this has something to do with motorcycle advertisements not using
horsepower numbers but one certainly appears on the certificate of origin
for the last one I bought.  We got two form letters from the law firm doing
this, really vague scattergun type letters surely they got my information
from somewhere but don't specify which model of which brand that I bought is
on the long list which only lists brand name not model number.  Kind of a
shame the last little push one we got from a place down the road with the
stimulus check and now it will lead to litigation at least if that is one of
the involved models.

no, thanks for sharing,

it's too bad they don't have a spot to try them out...
at sears/walfart down the street they don't have a demo

but at the small local shop, they do,
well i buy from the little guy because he
knows his stuff and well, he says "hi john:
when i come in.. anyhow i go for the mower
that fits the purpose at hand,
lawnboy 2 stroke for the steep hills
zero turn for the orchard deere for the runway ect...
law suits annoy me to know end, especially
class action suits... i live by the "if i mess
up, i make my best effort to make those
i harmed whole".. no need for lawyer
intervention that sucks half the restitution
for their own personal gain..

measuring hp is fine, but i would rather
see a torque curve and fuel burn
chart maintenance schedule ect...
so i can better figure out the ROI for said purchase.
local mover shop guy can provide that service and
i am willing to pay for that knowledge.
