Then yesterday I left work at 7:30pm for a 40 minute ride home. I was
riding my trusty old '01 CG125. About one kilometer after I left the
parking lot, a section of iron rebar punctured^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H
ripped the rear tire with it's tube. Not funny at all! I had to ride
10km/h because I had no cell phone with me by the time. It took 2
hours to arrive home, but I made it on the almost shredded tire.
Thankfully, 7:30 is already out of rush hour and yet, the adrenalin
rush was so intense that I could not sleep until 1am!
Today I'm shopping for a pair of tires (front is almost due and as
long I'm going to the bike shop...) and a bottle of "flat proof", the
green gooey slime that is marketed as "puncture vaccine".

I've seen off road guys using it. Large, very large zip ties... I
didn't buy the green slime... Got a pair of michelin sporty tires
(geee, am I turning to the black side of the force, now I know of
<gasp> street tires????). How easy street tires are to change! <g>. I
have some large zip ties at home. Will put them on bike's tool
compartment, thanks!
