I wasn't sure if I should just add this to the recent dog thread or
start my own, but I decided this was important enough for it's own
thread...at least it is to me.
At about 1:20 this afternoon, Sandy closed her eyes and took her last
breath in the loving embrace of her family. Sadly, Lorena couldn't be
here, but she thinks that is probably a good thing. Theresa, Scott,
and I have been total wrecks all day, and most of last night too.
Those of you who know us realize that Sandy was more than just a
family pet, she WAS family. For the last 14 years she has gone
everywhere and done everything with us, and she made friends from
around the world in the process. You folks in our RMD family
understand exactly what I'm saying, I believe. She always seemed as
excited as the rest of the family whenever we got together with any
sized group of you guys, and we are very grateful that y'all took her
into your hearts too.
Our world has become a less bright and happy place. Presumably this
will pass, but we will never forget that spectacular dog. We were
lucky to have her.

I do. Very sorry to hear that, and hugs all around. I know the pain, and
hope you find peace soon.

Thanks Charles. It'll come, but it's going to take some time.

Best wishes to all of you in this hard time.
She was a mighty fine RMD'er. Damn right, family.
That was a fine life for a dog to live, too. Fun. Don't forget that.

She WAS a pretty sociable dog, wasn't she? Well, at least with people.
With other dogs, not usually so much.

We know. We figure she's comparing notes with the other dogs in doggy
heaven, and looking pretty good in the comparison.
