There was an interview with Richard Petty yesterday. The interviewer asked the
King "Yeah, 7 Datona Race wins in your history, what do you think of that". The
answer was serious and in a way haunting, Petty replied without hesitation
"yeah, but think of how many I lost!"...
That is the mind of a racer, that checkered flag means nothing once you go by
it. It was your "last" win, and all you think about is changing that;)
