Recently, I swapped out one of my clutches. I'm a severe user of clutch
life and what's in there now is dissatisfying enough (total pack
thickness/future adjustability and major thermal variation in that
dimension) that I intend to replace it as soon as I have a little time.
Feel was terrible when new (worse than any previous clutch I've done) but
after about 25 miles of friction zone work over 4 days, the feel came into
line.
Has anyone formed a firm opinion about OEM vs aftermarket for clutches?
Thanks.

I like OEM the best, but I also like the fiber plates produced by
DunlopPad, which are scintered friction material plates. (Tony Mills
imports these to the US, and that's where the Moose plates come from.)
I do not like the kevlar replacement clutch plates. They have given
poor service life and diminished action, generally.
Always consider the metal plates as well. I have worn out steel
drive plates, as well as friction plates.
Clutch springs are cheap to replace. OEM should be fine, unless
special conditions or use demand more or less force.
