Yup I still live on my subie forum. I happen to have an 08 Impreza
2.5i 5 door ..Love that car!! My 83 GL-10 coupe ( one of 5 in the
entire New England Area) and my $250 beater legacy lifted wagon for
offroading. I am fitting the Lego with a trailer hitch and looking for
a 2 rail trailer or something light so we can take the bikes into the
depths of the Jersey Devil territory. The Pine Barrens is an awesome
place for both vehicle and dirt bike riding.
Been away dealing with a sever mental issue and now trying to
start getting back into things... Slowly.

Welcome back Connie. It sounds like things are working out for you. Life
here continues on. There's talk of another "non-organized" ride in Idaho
next year. My VIFC ("vastly improved female companion") would like to try
riding in the Sawtooths. I made the mistake of also introducing Paula to
RMD, where folks proceeded to fill her head with all manner of lies about
me.
Sheesh....

I'd love to get an older beater subaru- if I didn't have a bike habit
to support, I'd have one already.
I think TSC (Tractor Supply corp) has a showing in CT, they have a
floorless 4x8 trailer for about $300.
It's lightweight, and a might flexible, but it's a genuine 4x8 feet,
and you just bolt in a 4x8 piece of plywood for a floor.
Tie downs take a little ingenuity, but it's cheap, light, and pulls
double duty as a utility trailer that will actually fit 4x8 materials.

Yup, I used one of those cheapie folding trailers for years and as a
bike trailer last season. The only thing I would suggest is you round
off the edges of the plywood so it doesn't score the straps. Straps can
be hooked under the lip of the trailer as most of them have a series of
holes punched in the frame so that is easy.

Just make sure you lube up the bearings well before first use, they came
a little dry on mine...
