I've wondered innumerable times what the specific mechanics of going over
the edge would be. It's interesting to know now:) I've been asked to
Hollister a bunch of times by the guys out there and the pix always made
that one look like the one to miss if you have a heights thing. What part
of the Bay are you in? I know a KICKASS cuban place in SJ, a great Armenian
place in MTV and a really great Italian place in MTV, all near Keith.. all
really informal. I might have to be out there Wed... let me know if you'll
still be around. I'm going up to the cop riding place when I get out there
to set up some more training if you want to go. The car stuff they do there
is incredible to watch.

Tell me about it. It looks like you'd fall the entire 1/4 mile to the
bottom of every hill for sure, but luckily the brush is thick and
sharp and pointy enough that it stabs into you and keeps you from
tumbling all the way down. I'm not sure why that's comforting, but it
kinda is.

Definitely. I think you'd have a lot of trouble looking over the edge
on many of the trails. I know I do.

That's what Wes and Scott told me on the big hill at Cow Mtn. I'm sure it
wasn't comforting.

That idea never once occurred to me. LOOK OVER THE EDGE? I don't think
so...

When I sat down at the computer tonight, the picture showing in the random
slide show/screensaver was the road by the reservoir in Idaho where Deeney
left me to die on the way in.

The pics were misleading. I don't like heights but hollister aint
nuthin. The drops are not that steep and there's plenty of bushes.
You should ride Ballinger Canyon in socal. It's basically badlands
with trails down every razorback.
