Just put on normal boots. The sealskins are good for applications
where you can't use a normal boot, like on an USD fork. Regular boots
are better IMO 'cause they provide protection for your entire inner
tube, unlike the neoprene jobbies, which only cover the seal area.
My '98 XR400 uses stock boots and is on original factory fork seals.

I've seen the neoprene ones that go all the way up, I think. Or that
could have been wishful thinking.

Yes, I'm using those on my XR400. I would rather use the stock boots
because they don't tear as easily, but my SRC fork brace won't allow
it.

I had boots on my old one with the SRC brace. I just trimmed off enough of
the bottom to leave the thinner bellows section at the end, cut a 'U' shaped
relief area out where the two faces of the brace meet (and pinch the boot
plastic) and fastened back the brace with the lower section of the boot
between it and the rubber dirt wiper.
Good adaptin' to ya,

I remember you telling me that back in '99, and I did try to think
about a clean way to do it. Unfortunately, my engineering skills are
severely lacking. Hopefully, I'll be able to make it out to Utah one
of these years and you can show me how you did it.
