john is in big trouble:

I feel your pain. There are two horse trailers
in my backyard now. And about 1.5 rooms
full of horse stuff in the house. At least Amy
the Wonder Wife keeps the horse somewhere
else, sounds like your's might too.
I take advantage of the fact that she occasionally
feels guilty about the time and the money she
spends on the horse. It's all you can do.
There is no cure. It's almost as bad as
motorcycles.
Go fast. Take chances.

Horses are worse- if your bike gets sick you can push it to the back
of the garage for awhile.
If the horse gets sick, you must spend the cash right away!

I rode dressage for 11 years but never had my own horse since the barn
where I rode had a string of schooling horses. It was great! I was
not responsible for feed, vet, board, gear, etc... Of any of the
animals that are regularly kept by people, I think horses are by far
and away the most expensive. On top of that, if you want to do right
by them, they should be ridden 5-6 days per week. Talk about being
tied down...unless you have the $$ to pay someone to care for your
ride while you're away.
