I see my friends are also the practical sort.
Actually, when I now look back at the Gilligan reruns, Lovey Howell
was kind of cute. If she could put up with Thurston, then she could
probably put up with me.
Of course, these days, Mary Jane is still pretty cute. I'm not sure
about Lovey. I haven't seen a recent photo of her.
It's a lot like when we were in Kansas on a bird hunting trip (about
18 years ago). We were having a Large Time in a local watering spot
one night. My (really drunk) friend started yelling, "Where's
Dorothy? I want to see Dorothy!"
My cousin told my friend, "I can introduce you to Dorothy, but you'll
have to realize... That movie was made a long time ago."
Me? My cousin introduced me to an older woman who claimed to be
Dorothy.
She was amazing. She matched me shot for shot through 9 hits of
Tequila, and then took me to see the Wizard.
