Don't tell that to the one in my garage. The 150cc China bike that kicks
butt on Honda CRF150F's all day long, and has better suspension then the
Honda to boot. Oh, and it cost 10% of what I paid for the Honda. China
bike = $305 off ebay in 2006. Still plugging away after three years.
Imagine that!

Old Farthead is just one of those "mired in the mud" types with false

Has Old Farthead ever owned a Chinese motorcycle?  Probably not.

Has Old Farthead ever ridden one?  Probably not.

Is Old Farthead blowing spew out of his blubbery ass without a clue to
what he's saying?  Probably.

Should Old Farthead and his "don't confuse me with facts, I already
have my mind made up" group be ignored?  Most definitely.  LOLOLOLOL

Mike, I'm glad to hear that you've had good luck with yours and I hope that
it continues....my direct exposure has been a little different.

Facts?  You want facts... Bill?
OK, how about these 2 examples.

1. Friend buys 90cc Chinese bike from Pep Boys for his son (my godson)
against my strong recommendation. The bike started shedding parts during the
first 100 feet without any ground contact involved. (Seat bolt, front
fender, cotter pin on rear brake actuator lever). The very first crash (low
speed layover in grassy front yard, his kickstand mount broke right off.
Months later he brought it to me and we checked/loc-tited/tightened every
bolt on the bike and broke a few in the process...there was rust and air
pockets *inside* the bolts that broke! Bike never ran right to begin with
.....BTW, did I mention that no one (Pep Boys and multiple MC shops checked)
carried or could find a cross-reference for general maintenance items
(plugs, air filter, jets). After 6 months of frustration with a bike that
never made a complete day of riding without some significant issue, he
bought the Yam TTR-90 that my youngest had outgrown. He rides the crap outta
that bike and in 3 years and countless spills he has broken exactly one
brake lever and done nothing else to the bike except routine maintenance.

2. Neighbor lady buys her daughter a Chinese 70cc quad for her very first
bike (after experience #1, I tried my best to get her to buy a used Jap
unit, but she was stuck on the pink camo) After the bolt issues, I checked
this thing over and tightened everything *before* her inaugural ride. Even
with that, the remote kill switch (black box mounted under the rear fender)
broke and fell right out of its housing on the very first bump 10 ft from
the start and the starter was acting up from the git-go. By the end of the
first day, we had to duct-tape the number plate, rear fender and one side
plate in place because of snapped mounting tabs (she never hit a thing all
day, just rode it around in a field). 6 months later, the little girl gets
to take a helicopter ride because of a front brake drum failure locked up
the bike and sent her catapulting to a broken neck.

But I digress.....you'll probably discount these examples because I didn't
*OWN* the bikes ....right?

I think he was as surprised as anyone that it's still going...

Little girl came out of it OK?

Now, there were voids INSIDE the bolts? That is a whole 'nuther level
of crap! Holy crap!
