CV carb is nice, smooth, light pull and all, but any dirt that gets
past the air filter could get jammed between the slide and the carb
body and the vacuum will never have enough strength to pull the slide,
so you end up with something that doesn't work and the result is
getting stranded, tipically in middle of nowhere. Also, when you land
from jumps, the slide bottom out, again, the vacuum is never strong
enough to keep it lifted where you want it to be, the result is a bog
every landing... Meanwhile, you get passed by all others who run real
fuel delivery systems. They also tend to cause stalling if you release
a wfo condition suddenly, because it almost completely close the air
flow to the engine, suddenly cutting the vacuum, which makes the slide
to drop too fast so it doesn't transition to the idle fuel orificies
properly/fast enough to keep it idling... And don't get me started on
body/slide wear that makes the thing stick. CV carbs are a *very* bad
idea.
I'm not in a good mood today... :-/

Maybe because its a 650, my CV carb has acted perfect for me after
drilling the holes in the slide out a little.
Not as much throttle response, but excellent manners. Race conditions
might show some more weaknesses of course.
