every day a smart and a stupid leave home. When they met, there's
business :-) which one you rather be?
I, if were selling online (ebay and such), I'd mark up my prices a
lot, comparing with local. online trading brings a lot of troubles.
honda is selling, as brand new, '07 VTX1800 bikes! I am *sure* they
sat on some foreign country dealer showroom for *ages*, before they
decided that was a good idea "hey, know what? let's take those bikes
to brasil, the suckers there will buy without haggling price". Now,
who is the smart and the stupid? Too bad for them I am not interested
on a 1-ton bike that probably consume more fuel than my (also 1800cc)
car. At least they don't try to hide that these are '07...

The 09's have been out here for about a month or so. Just to compare I
can get a leftover 08 KX85 for $2444 at Coastline in Old Saybrook CT,
and a brand new 09 from Midtown in Rockyhill for $2999... I don't
know how that converts in your area but it's a good bit lower than the
Kawasaki suggested price for these bikes. On the bidding site, they
were as much as $3400+ I would imagine you would also have to add
shipping to that. The 08's at Coastline have been there on the floor
all year, and of course the 09's at Midtown just arrived.

Did they change anything between '08 and '09?
If you end up down at Coastline, we should meet for a beer somewhere.
Perhaps the Monkey Farm.
I guess you probably shoot down route 9?

I don't know if they changed anything but Jerry at Coastline still has
4 left from 08 and didn't order any 09's yet. Only problem is his
price $2444 is only good without a trade, $2999 with. Midtown has the
09's for $2999 with trade and offered me $1500 for the TTR that was
stolen and returned.
Either way, what town are you in? I still get down there pretty often,
right down route 9, I have a house in Essex a couple of hundred yards
from the Steam Train. As to the Monkey Farm, I bring the weapons, you
bring the ammo;) I used to go there back when I worked at the Chevy
dealer just over the hill.

I'm in Madison off of Neck Road.
I've only been to Monkey Farm for lunch (good burgers) and didn't need
to shoot anybody. I could see that place getting pretty wild at
closing time.
Essex? There's always the Black Seal I suppose.
I'm not sure what a good price for the TTR is. But now might be a good
time to get it under somebody else's Christmas tree if it's worth more
than $2,055 (plus the difference in sales tax, plus the extra value a
year makes when you go to sell in a few years)
