Not 100% sure but long ago - 17 years to be exact -
I hadn't ridden a dirt bike for 3 years because my knee
was so bunged up I could barely walk, much less ride.
I took up karts and it was fun. Way harder than it looks
if you actually want to be competitive. About the time
I was getting to the point I knew what I was doing and
getting amongst the fast guys, I got the knee fixed,
bought the XR600, and didn't get in the kart again.

Still, those beasts will pull 2.5-3 g's sideways. I came
home most race weekends with bruises on my sides
from the seat. And a new motor cost $156 buck back
then - B&S potato throwers.

So my advice is something fast comes close enough
to keep you from killing the dog with your bare hands.

Go fast. Take chances.
