Obscenely hot peppers to replace the pain of a bif.

LOL! I have currently four different breeds of pepper. Malagueta is
the strongest. Also I got a red that I don't know the name, looks much
like red habaneros... <g>. There is a yellow chili and a giant pepper
that is not hot, much like a slightly hot bell pepper...

I have also a huge white rose plant. And a very stubborn to grow dwarf
rose on a big jar. I've been told that this is the most difficult rose
breed to grow.

I tried tomatoes and stuff but the yard critters ate them all. Some
genious decided to grow scargots (brown, ugly snails) and of course,
we (as absurd this might sound...) don't eat snails. They are disease
vectors (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schistosoma) in tropical areas,
people actually FEAR snails - and as nobody eat them, the genious
dumped the snails on the garbage can, they spreaded all over the
neighborhood and now they are a plague. They killed an entire carrot
garden before I realized that snails were eating them... Every other
day I'm getting rid of one or two snails. These are animals in the
"they harm me" class.

I like gardening. It is an alone activity, just like it is riding and
like riding it let my mind drifts...

Round here, people cut a beer can in half, bury it flush with the
ground, open part up, and put some beer in the bottom.

Snails seem to love the beer, fall in, and drown.

Dark green like a jalapeno and longer and skinnier than a bell? I
googled for pictures of peppers but couldn't find what I was looking for...

I have a number of miniature roses (white, red, salmon, soppy pink)
retrieved from an unnamed dumpster and all are perfectly happy as long
as they get enough water. I owe them all bigger pots...

Story, possibly apocryphal: Long ago somebody imported escargots into
California, which wiped out the native snails. Their shells don't look
anything like genuine escargot shells and are much thinner, so I have to
doubt the story.

I ate an escargot once. Rubbery, garlic flavor. As soon as I bit down
on it I thought about the eye stalks and nearly barfed. To my credit I
swallowed it whole rather than spitting it out.

Got Snarol or equivalent snail bait? Works miracles.

Most of my stuff is in pots and we live in a desert. We haven't gone on
any long trips for a LONG time and now I have to worry about the damn
plants...
