Well, I went to check out the tires today. I found a front 17" Dunlop
756 but apparently there is no 17" rear. The Cycle Gear guy suggested
this:
https://www.yocracing.com/store/M7305-100x90-19-MAXCROSS-IT-REAR-4556.htm
Comments will be studied carefully, I am not quite ready to order yet.
It looks similar in design and he said it would wear well. He is
familiar with the track we ride at so that will probably be the
direction I take. I also found out they change tires for $15 dollars,
and a set of spoons is about $10..
Anyway, I noted a shutdown yesterday right before closing. After
cleaning some mud off this morning I found that the plug wire had
slipped its holder and melted to the exhaust, dead short. That is
fixed now, and I feel good as last night I was thinking and the first
thing I was going to check this morning was spark... Fuel, fire, and
air..... Fuel, fire, air... that's what my mentor always told me when
I worked for GM. It felt like fire to me, and I was right.. All might
not be lost.
Thanks again, Scotty

That's a 17" REAR tire you're looking for? I missed that part if
it was stated earlier. I just checked every place I've ever
bought tires from and none have a 17" rear.
What's that on?

Pitbike, Chinese clone. 110cc, 17" tires, international shifting
(manual clutch) and a pretty good range for the suspension even if it
is a bit stiff.

Anyone who has been watching will notice the improvement, just in the
last week. I know it's not much (the bike) but I have been able to
keep it together so far;) If I can get it through most of the season,
it will owe me nothing for the 500 bucks I spent on it.... Hopefully
next year we can get her into a CRF 100-150. but for now **** rules;)

Forgot to mention. This is her first year riding, I figure she
probably has 40-60 hours riding all together.. maybe 50. But as a
freshman this year, she has found her calling. She is doing a lot of
her own work, takes care of the gear and tow vehicle, and wants to go
to the track every day she can. Again, thanks for all your help, and
it has been a great help weather you all know it or not...

Scotty, I just wanted to say that I've been enjoying the hell out of the
updates on your daughter's riding progress. It looks like you've got a rider
on your hands. I went through that stage with my kids when they were
younger, but it's a lot of fun; enjoy every minute of it. Please keep the
reports and videos coming, and thanks for sharing.
