Mr. Arnette is scheduled to return to Iraq on Saturday, Dec. 29.

Since Deb and I are leaving for Florida tomorrow to visit with my
daughter's family, and will be there before John takes wing, I am
taking my GasGas with me.
This will allow me to ride with my daughter and grandson while I am
there, and also get in a partial day of riding with John.
We are scheduled to ride ( at the southern trail, I believe, of the
Ocala National Forest) in the middle of the day on Friday.

If anyone here will be in the vicinity and wants to join us, feel
free to contact me. If you don't have my cell phone, email me for it,
using this email address by REMOVing the mucked-up part of the
displayed email address that goes with this post. (After tonight, I
should be able to again check my email by Thursday.)

Merry Christmas to you all!
May 2008 be great, with lots of good riding for everyone.

On a related but unrelated note (how's that for a messed up idea), does
anyone have any tips for riding areas in Florida somewhere relatively near
to either Tampa or Stuart? A buddy and I want to ride in Florida sometime
but have no idea what's available. Looking for some help as to what might be
available. We're Michigan trail riders (as opposed to MX/track riders), so
are looking for trail systems. Riding ability probably 7 of 10; a successful
enduro racer once said I was "a solid B rider" if that helps, and my buddy's
a bit faster/better than me.

Any Floridians current or previous who can point us toward some decent
trailriding near Tampa or Stuart? Obviously we understand we're going to
have to drive to find something, but hoping to keep it within reasonable
drive time of those two places during a week-long vacation (both of us have
access to lodging in those two cities for cheap/free).

Andy, there is great riding in CROOM Motorcycle park. Miles and miles of
trail (single track and quad stuff), a phosphate pit, and an open area +
camping available. One hour or so from Tampa. Gets busy on weekends.

OMG....Croom is still open?
I used to ride there back in '89-'91 when I lived in Spring Hill,Fl.
Cool place then, should be even better now (I hope so at least).
