I don't want to beat them down, if I were in their shoes I'd want to
ride dirt bikes too. And, it can't hurt our public image THAT bad,
right?

Probably they picked this particular model because it's very light
weight, easy on newbies, has electric starter and their engines are
fuel efficient. Imo, a very nice choice of bikes and after all, they
aren't going to ride zombie woods or emma trail...
The CRF230F, I hate to admit that, is a fine off road machine, if your
weight (kg) is not near triple digits...
