I rode with Woodschick, her hubby and Coffee (owner of Cafe Husky)
yesterday. We were at Hollister and the weather was great. The
trails were dusty and slick. Tami's WR125 had several power valve and
jetting adjustments in search of the elusive perfect jetting. She let
me throw a leg over it a couple times and I came away impressed. I
really can't wait to try it when the jetting IS sorted out. I also
got a chance to ride Coffee's TE250. Again I was impressed. The
power was more than expected and smooth. Finally a 250 four stroke I
like! Coffee asked me about the suspension and I suggested some
changes, he tried them and his ride improved. I really enjoy riding
with good people, old friends and new ones as well.
I got to do some side-by-side on the easy road trails with Eric. That
was fun. It forces you to hold the inside line which is good
practice. We jumped off one water bar and the drop was much larger
than expected and just got rid of the seat cover that was sucked into
my ass on that one.
We saw many vintage bikes out yesterday. It was very cool except for
the VERY loud obnoxious ones.
Off to work,

Cool - actually riding and all. I had a similar 'drop was much larger
than expected' experience on Saturday myself, but while skiing. I
came up on a ridge at about warp 5 - jumped up hard while cresting lip
to get something. I did a mini version of my signature sidescratcher
cross-up while in the air, but when my skis came back down, instead of
touching down, I was still 15' off the ground. Landed it at about
warp 7 and managed to stay up, but lost a pair of shorts in the
process. They finally came back out yesterday, so its all good...
