I am doing an electric project bike to convert my '86 Yamaha Riva to
electric using those brushless hub motors - but the current gasoline
motor/drive *is* the rear suspension, so I need a swingarm to make a
rear suspension.  I'm wondering if anyone can sell me an old rear fork
they have lying around?

Thanks!
Patti

Thanks!! Can you please measure the distance from the pivot point to the
axle for me?  I'd probably have to shorten it and maybe modify the pivot
to fit my scooter and add shock tabs for dual shocks.  What are you asking?

You might probably be better off starting with a swingarm from a dual
shock bike. A monoshock swingarm will have a lot of extra geometry and
beef where you don't need it. With all the mods you are expecting to
do anyway, why not just fabricate the whole thing? I'm sure you can
find a similarly deranged person to join in on the fun if you need
fabrication help.  ;-)  I'd start at the pivot hardware and work out
from there.

I have a XL 500 R swingarm but it just seems huge overkill for what
you intend. What kind of power output are you designing to?

Good luck.  Sounds fun.
