Today, The Mouse rode with the pros. She met Marissa Markelon and Jenna
Smith at Rocky Hill in CT. They are a couple of great kids, that's for
sure. Jessi got "permission" from her trainer to ride with them today
with the promise: "we will get you on the table and straighten you out
on monday";). She has been fighting a hip flexer issue...

I guess I pooched the setup on my 125 today cause my bike just wouldn't
turn, it had a real hard push which helped me make not one, but three
"quick dismounts", one of which had me hitting a dirt wall head on when
I missed my brake lever coming into a turn. The last one splattered the
face shield on my helmet and twisted the bars up pretty bad, but I was
on _______'s ass for the first time ever and holding on...

I gotta' admit, it was the hardest motocross hit I ever taken, I
actually laid there for about 20 seconds reflecting on the idea of
standing up and riding off (RMR, nobody carries me off, no way, no how,
ain't gonna' happen) the track which I eventually did. It's was great
though, I almost caught _______, and despite the limp, numb arm, and
smashed up ribs, I was all smiles when I came off the track and got a
virtual High Five (via text) from Marissa later for my attitude...

Glad you were able to shake that one off.
The next morning is always interesting. How do you feel today?

Re: missing the brake lever:
One more reason to always keep a finger on there, I guess. A speedy
guy who I was with last weekend told me it helps prevent arm pump too,
by forcing a lighter grip on the bars. YMMV

Yeah, I usually do but I was riding with only a stub about 1" long and
slipped off of it.. I had new levers, but I never bother putting them on
just to break them back off in a day or so;)

Today I woke up about 5:30 and have been icing and stretching ever
since... Not sure if I am up for riding today.

Since going the woods/barkbuster route, I haven't had to replace a
single lever or throttle tube, etc.

I've got levers growing dust on them in the parts box.

We can't run the metal bars where we race... and like I said, I have
them growing dust too, just to lazy to change it. I usually do fine with
the one finger;)

Oh, and someone mentioned arm pump. I am convinced that arm pump can be
eliminated with a good cardio routine... Just my opinion, but I did form
it after listening to John Dowd in an interview about it... He doesn't
get it, he is a cardio maniac. Jessi and I don't get it, we are cardio
maniacs too. All of our friends who just "lift" get arm pump bad...
