I took my stitches out this morning w/o incident. I stuck on a
handful of steri-strips to help in growing a sexy scar. Makes me want
to flog the pod just thinking about it...
I've been procrastinating extremely successfully with tearing down the
carbs on the two girl bikes (TTR125L & XR80) and my GasGas. They've
all been sitting since fall, and I was too lazy to pull them down and
drain all of the gas out of them, so they're going to be a mess.
PITA. I hate this commie ethanol crap we have to use nowadays.

jay on the less critical motors like
beater bikes & lawn equipment
I've been known to
disconnect the fuel line
drain the float bowl
fill the fuel line with carb cleaner
let sit over night drain bowl & refill
in morning with more cleaner
sit an hour then drain...
then connect fuel line back up and run it...
<this works unless it's really nasty>

Yea - I do the same thing, although I don't let it sit overnight - I'd
be afraid of eating up something important. I usually pump in as much
cleaner as I can, then hook up the fuel line and turn on the gas (so
the bowl stays completely full), then I'll drain it after an hour or
so. Fresh gas and it's usually OK. If the carb has a drain hose,
I'll catch what comes out and throw it into the fuel tank.
On some of the little bikes, it's almost as easy just to yank the carb
off. Not like my 250X, where I have to cut the frame in half with a
Sawzall to get to the goddamn thing.

ahhh that's better than the 1/2 full funnel on
the end of the fuel line that i usually kick over
when getting off my milk crate.
