I drove over to Idaho on Saturday to pick up a, new to me, '09 250 XC/
W, with a Rekluse, and only 300 or so miles on it. I got to ride the
desert SW of Boise with David Jones, John Aiton and Murray Avison on
Sunday. I think I could get used to the electric start. There was
about 3" of snow covering the trails, which made things a bit
interesting. I managed to keep warm and had lots of fun roosting
around in the snow. It was two days of driving for one day of riding,
but well worth it. Thanks to David, John and Murray for taking me
out. I hope I can get back again before summer.

Far out, Dennis! That's an awesome ride, I'm sure you'll love it long
time. It's a hell of a long ways removed from the XR4, eh?

Great company, guarantees a fun ride (well, as long as DJ doesn't lawn
dart himself into a rocky meadow someplace; that can kinda kill the
buzz).

Pussy. It's a 2 stroke. It'll start with the first feeble half assed
swipe at the kickstarter. Next thing you know you'll be thinking that
linkage rear suspension is better. Sheesh.

Sounds really fun. That's about the perfect layer of snow to ride in,
you can dig through to dirt but still get the fun of sliding on the
snow. I'll bet there was no small amount of laughing during the day.

I don't think I ever heard that story. I thought I was the only guy
to pull that one off (while Joe watched). Let's hear it. :)

Our SpodeFest buddy Mark Kessler had a front row seat for
the DJ Lawn Dart demo. I think it was the '06 ISF. Never a
good thing to witness.
