I'm going to try out one of these spy cam knockoffs for a helmet cam.

From what I've seen on the 'net, they do a pretty good job, and for
little more than $10, it's a cheap experiment.  I'll probably get it
just as the moguls start getting built up - should be fun if it
works.  If it survives ski season, I'll try it with the bikes.
Yippee.

Ships from Hong Kong.

Pass.

Yea, I know - I'm conflicted, but I'll get over it.  OTOH, probably
80% of what is in your house and driveway shipped out of Hong Kong at
one time or another.

Likewise, I know.  Depends on the threshold I'm willing to endure on any
given day.  I won't buy anything that doesn't ship from the US on ebay
though - regardless of it's original, uh, origin.

How noble of you.  I can dig it.  Don't worry, the Chinese peasants
are starting to get greedy and making costs go up, and eventually the
US line workers will start accepting the $7/hr they are worth, then
the US will become competitive in manufacturing again.  Give it 20
years.

Getting back on topic - these little thingies apparently have a noise-
activation mode where they can sit in standby mode for up to 10 days
and will record when triggered by sound.  How fun is that going to
be?!
