Does anyone know of a supplier of tie-down straps (for securing my bike on
my trailer) that have carabinas on either end - instead of hooks? Seems
sensible to have straps that don't unhook if the tension is temporarily
released (e.g. over a bump) - but I can't find a supplier!

Do a search for "High Roller" tie downs. Rocky Mountain has some called
"Rider Cargo" and there is/was an outfit that made some heavy duty ones
(1-1/2" webbing IIRC) with carabiners at both ends. I don't recall the name,
but they mostly sell to the Harley crowd.

I've got a set of the "High Rollers".  They're my favorite tie
downs.  Caribiner on one end and a soft loop on the other.  Got
them at some generic bike shop a couple years ago.

So, how do you go with that?
I'm guessing:
Drape over bar, slip carabiner through soft loop,  hook carabiner to the
full ring part of a regular (ancra-style) tie down?

Caribiner hooks to the hook on the truck.  The soft loop goes around
the bars (once or twice depending on if there's a cable there) and
connects to the metal hook.  I'll get a picture later on if my
descriptive abilities suck as bad as I think they might.
