Congratulations men (and women) you get to enjoy the ultimate in
American holidays, the Superbowl. "but holiday? are you serious?" dead
serious my pal, this is the greatest American holiday for men; There
is no gift purchasing, you do not have to think ahead of time about
"omg what am I getting so and so for the SuperBowl," no you just show
up and enjoy. In fact, some of us may be winning money today in the
form of office pools, etc. It is a SuperBowl party, a celebration,
unlike those other holidays. you are allowed to sit down in various
attire ranging from full on team apparel to underwear and a white T.
Partake in beverages and snacks and are not expected to do anything
other than consume said nourishment. Unlike Thanksgiving though, this
beverage consumption is usually alcohol in some form and snacks in the
form of finger foods (pizza, nachos, wings, et al). Deliciousness is
imminent comrades.
Entertainment from the game, from family/friends, and even the
commercials are worth watching, when can one ever say they actually
enjoyed watching commercials? hell most of us own devices to skip over
these nuisances, but oh no, not today my good chum, today we enjoy.
yes there are some who will not feel the entertainment, mainly those
poor Giants fans that have to watch their team be abused, but do not
fret Giants fan, 30 other teams were in worse spots than yours. Know
today that fans across the nation though will be rooting along with
you; football fans unite behind teams they have no allegiance to, an
achievement that was attempted by Jesus, but completed by the NFL.
Unity my fellows, unity is to what I speak. So enjoy today my spodely
comrades.

I liked the beginning of the game during the national anthem when a
squadron of what looked like F-18s made a fly by. Definately a message
to the rest of the world. OF

Yeah, it's kind of a relief now that Bonds is gone. I did enjoy
watching him play though.
