Well, it finally happened. The 650L found a new home today. She got
bartered off to the guy who installed our oak flooring & rode home in
the back of his panel truck alongside his 1-year older XR600.
Kind of funny how things work out sometimes. With the DRZ & KLR that
I just picked up, I was planning on getting rid of the XRL anyway.
Being so busy lately, I didn't have any idea when I would get a chance
to prep her for sale, post the ad, and deal with all the looky-loos.
Tyler had seen my 650 the day he gave us his estimate. 2 days ago, I
mentioned in passing that I was going to be selling it. The next day
he made an acceptable offer to barter for a portion of the flooring
job. A real win-win.
This puts us back down to 9 bikes now. I'm thinking of thinning the
herd a bit more. Might as well get ride of some while they are in
running condition, rather than ending up with a garage like Tim's.
Just say'n..... ;-)

Dean,
You crack me up. I'm going to enjoy BMMP.

Now, back to the mountains today, to finish arrowing my section. I
bought an extra PowerShot(tm), so that Esteban can help. It's his
first time to put up event arrows. The CRF70 looks good with a tank
bag full of arrows..

What year KLR did you pick up?
I bought a new '09 last November.
Discovery: It ain't a dirt bike. It feels like it weighs a good 200#+
more than the KTMs. Fun on rural roads. Anyone that can sling this
thing around in the woods has my respect.
Question: Went for my first night ride of any note last night. Any
such thing as tear offs for street helmet visors? Bugs get thick when
the sun goes down. Or should I just go w/dirt stuff/goggles at night?
Half my visibility was gone within an hour or so.
