I mentioned this last year: My F&G club has an annual friendly
contest that we call the 'Ultimate Sportsman Competition'. It
involves 8 events:

1) round (25 rds) trap, 2) 5 shot benchrest rifle @ 100yds., 3) 25 yd .
22 pistol - 10 shots offhand at suspended clays, 4) 1 shot with a
flintlock at a melon, 5) fly casting into target, 6) open reel
casting, into target, 7) archery - 4 shots into 3-D target, 8) golf
(really) - chip shot across pond at target

I won this year - I am the "ULTIMATE SPORTSMAN"!!

Yeah, really! Remind me not to mess with him the next time I see
him....

Well, if it helps put me in that camp, I DID happen to compete in the
high-power event with my faux-M203 sniper rifle (AR15 w/ leatherwood
mount, cheekpiece extender, 12x scope, and 37mm launcher). That way,
even if I lost the competition, I was assured a first spot in the
unofficial "coolest gun of the day" comp.

Everyone wanted me to shoot the melon with the 37mm, but I didn't have
any shells.
