About halfway down the page:
"General Motors is recalling almost 4,300 of its new 2012 Chevrolet
Sonics because they might be missing 'the front brake inner or outer pad'.
"In a filing with the safety agency, G.M. said this could 'produce noise
when the brakes are applied, result in reduced brake system performance
and require a longer distance to stop the vehicle.'”

wow. Hard to believe they could even get off the lot that way, or even
off the transporter onto the lot. WTF?

I thought Sonic was a place to get a burger. WTF?
This must be an example of why those quality builders at GM need the six
figure salary.
Embarrassed to own a Chevy truck.

Indeed, that is quite a bit of an understatement.

Tee hee. Oh, I remember my last GM product, a ludicrously expensive
Chevy Tahoe. I will NEVER again own a vehicle made by an American
company as a result. Of course, that's a misnomer, since the
"American" cars are all made in Canada and Mexico, and my "Japanese"
trucks are built in Kentucky...
Pshaw.
