Warning: the following observation(s) are gleened from my outside-
looking-in position as an "industry insider". As such, they must be
scrutininzed, questioned, conspiracy theoried, and eventually
dismissed. YMMV
I still get a lot of press releases. Often, they are from new start-
ups. And many of the new start-ups seem to be moto-related attire.
People recognize that the woman biker market segment is booming. And
there are many attempts to capitalize on women's seeming insistance to
wear clothes almost all the time.
I just got another new women's moto-clothing company's press release.
And it's like all the others - cliche' fluff.
Not that I care that much.
Just making conversation.
I'd think somebody could do better.

Katey Sagal on Sons of Anarchy. Simple and chic. Also washable.

I've certainly been frustrated with women's gear. I wanted a pair of
heavier weight riding pants with the following qualities:
* good armor including hip & butt pads
* leather panel on the inside of the leg
* leg room to go over mx boots
* a high zipper or preferably all the way up the leg for easy on/off
over boots
* gusset inside the pant leg
* removable liner
* available with a short inseam
* multiple zippered pockets including gusseted pockets on the lower
thigh.
Can find pants with some but not all of these attributes. Grrrr...
If someone knows of a brand & style that fits the bill, please
edumacate me. Back to sorting through 43 years of parental
accumulation...

Last time I bought a chick moto-gear, it was when I got my wife a
complete get-up. I bought 'Moose' brand gear in a 'chick-friendly'
lavender. Best part was that she has a big "MOOSE" emblazened across
her chest. I STILL think it's funnier than hell.
