Finished a nice ride today with the wife & 14 year old. I picked up an '03
CRF230 for him yesterday to replace the outgrown CRF100 so he's happy to get
out and the wife seems happy enough to have the 100 to herself for the
moment.

After riding, brought my YZ250 up on the trailer, engine running, fuel shut
off to drain and notice smoke pouring out of the breather with steady drip
of gas. Shut her down and drove home. When I got home, notice some oil
dropped on the trailer, ahead of the breather tubes from somewhere under the
crankcase. Damn. Something clogged?

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Not sure about the smoke and drip. Although, there was that weekend in
Vegas.

If the stuff on the trailer is black like spooge, maybe it's from a
powervalve vent?

I remember that weekend. Good one.

Nope, it's oil, clean from a relatively recent change.

 Schmoe reports:

Transmission oil?  You've probably got a leaky main seal if so.

Go fast. Take chances.

Would that cause the pressure blow back and the white smoke out of the
breather along with dripping gas? Doesn't it sound more like something's
clogged causing engine pressure? Could be tranny oil but it wasn't really
red colored, more like engine oil color.
