Looks like some of it is Lucerne Valley. Anybody recognize
it?
Go fast. Take chances.

I was going to say Jawbone Canyon and the Dove Springs
area......before they installed all the whoop sections. =:^)
The fly away shot @ the end shows a semi-dry lake in the
back ground. Hard to tell where that was. Could be several places
near Lucerne. Soggy dry lake, for one.
The Joshua trees should be a good hint, as they only grow in
certain areas.

definitely recognize the hill near 'charlies' aka 'wagon wheel' outside
ridgecrest.

I got this reply from a riding friend of mine named Robert.
---------------------------------------------------------
It's the area that was once known as Holiday Hills between 230th and
190th St off of
hwy 138 and up in the hills. I spent half my life (recalculating)
Ahem... Make that
one-quarter of my life riding those exact same trails.
Jeff, that was the place Pam and I took Johnny K when we rode from WSR
during
the Vintage event two years back. You can (We) still ride there as a
property owner
and/or with permission slips from other property owners. …otherwise
it’d be
advisable to stay away.
I had the same Bell Magnum helmet in silver, the same Carrera goggles
as well as the rubber-ribbed (looked like Webco) gloves. Who knew I
was setting styles for the
likes of Steve way back then. * chuckle *
The number 5 desert plate on the Husky (then a Checker club member-
Jim Camaret)
is still a good friend of mine. A REAL old timer who is still
riding ! Looks like a
classically warm day after a BIG night before rain/snow event too !
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just thought I'd pass that along

Heh. We never went that far east, spending our time up in the hills
within a Honda S-90 tankful of gas of about a mile north of the
Littlerock reservoir -- until the residents decided that the whole area
should be closed to motorcyclists. Sure improved the neighborhood,
didn't it?
BTW, we wore all the safety equipment McQueen did, except for glasses
(REAL glass, not plastic) instead of goggles. I added a kidney belt
eventually, which was a big improvement in comfort.
I knew it wasn't Gorman or Bean Canyon. Too much road.
