For some (dumb) reason, I've never worn knee guards. One of those
things that I've just been lucky with. Been thinking I should change
that, and last week riding at Carnegie managed to fall off and the
first point of contact was my left knee onto a sharp rock. No lasting
damage, but scared me straight.
What do you recommend? Don't need brace, just impact protection.

I have the black ones from Shift with perforated foam and two velcro straps
(as seen on ISF2010). No joint or hinge or whatever. Works perfectly for
me with considerably reduced knee stench.
Cheers,

Even though I'm not a big fan of Fox products, I bought a pair of
vented knee guards for dualsporting.
They've been fantastic. They have good coverage for my knees, they fit
into my boots really well
and they stay put. I like `em.
The idea of riding without knee protection boggles my mind. Lucky
indeed!

Friend bought a set from Ace Hardware that look great. Used by construction
work. These are the best I have seen because they flex when bending knee.
Look on net for Ace site and search for them. WW
