I bought the video "Balancing Act" (trails vid) and sat down to watch
it last night. Why does every moto video have to have a heavy metal
soundtrack instead of letting me hear the actual moto sounds?
If I want to hear music, I can listen to music. Without the sounds, it
just doesn't do it for me at all. I ended up turning the DVD off
before it was finished.
I don't own many videos, but local shops always seem to have one
playing when I go in. They all seem to have the same crappy
soundtrack. Most of the youtube vids I've seen are the same way. I'd
really much rather hear the sounds of the bike working on a helmet cam
vid than a music soundtrack, regardless of who the artist is.
Am I the only one?

Totally agree!! Sometimes music is cool but hearing the engines is way
cooler.

No, I feel the same way, that's why I commented to Joe about the
latest video he posted with "no head banger music".
Must be a generational thing. Kids these days, what's a guy to do...

If it's too loud, you're too old.

No, you are not the only one. However, with the right volume and good
editing, well chosen music really can enhance a video.
IMHO, you should always hear the bikes when they get louder in
off-road and MX videos.
