Have been on Panama, Colombia and Equator lately.

They don't have street bikes on Equator. Guess gasoline (and cars) is
too cheap.
Cops on Colombia ride two up on Suzuki TS185 two stroke. I wonder how
old are these...
Panama is a huge duty free.

A hint for fellow travelers: wearing leather jacket, crocks sandals,
polo shirt and trousers (the fancy kind that usually is worn with ties
and suits) is not very well looked by the airport authorities. They
pick you as suspect *every* time. don't ask me how I know, I just
know.... :)

Good. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing Crocs...well, actually, any of
that :)

I do have fancy pants, but only wear them when told to do so by my
wife.

If it's my party (*), you should wear flip flops, shorts and the
lightest t-shirt (optional) you have :)

(*) yes, I understand the different meanings of "party".

I ran out of clean clothes :) and I had to meet "important people".

Re: Crocs, I like'em very much. Comfy and I don't have to take it out
on the airport security - or at least that was my thinking. For casual
wear, you will find me wearing "Havaianas".
Other hint: If the hotel gives you small chocolate bars, eat them
before trying to cross security with small square tablets, they draw
waaaay too much attention. Good they *smell* like chocolate. And I am
*very* glad the Juan Valdez store at Cartagena airport was closed.
