So, yesterday I opened the kitchen faucet and no water came out. Hmmm.
Lucky me, I've got a well and pump. Filled the water boxes to the brim
and proceeded to make myself some coffee.
This morning I started up little CG125 and headed to work. Within 1km
from house, I found out why there was no water. The big pipe that
comes from purification plant busted. 5km detour on unpaved road,
actually, those were 5km on a road on construction. Soft clay. Lots of
cars stuck. I saw a guy on a street legal XR250 having big trouble
going thru the mud!
I had no problem with 18 inch narrow wheels and street tires. Loved
the bike skiding back and forth... After I returned to the paved road,
200 meters ahead, the pipe was busted too... Seems that they missed
the pressure relief valve somwhere... :) This time was easy, as I just
had to climb a half meter clay pile and get back on my way... If I had
driven the car, I'd get ultra-late at work. Or if didn't knew how to
appreciate a two wheel sideways slide...
I *must* fix my dirt bike asap...

Dirt skills will serve you well anywhere on a bike.

As we germans tend to put it: "Wo ein Wille ist, ist auch ein Gebüsch". Or

;-)
Volker,
living in Munich and still being able to have some offroad fun on the way
to work, being a little illegal however...

Jup. As I told you. It's like all addictions. Give it just a little break
and you'll be reminded what you planned to give up. Just take it easy and
don't let the dirtbike maintenance piss you off too much.
Volker,
curious about the upcoming ride reports...
