I will be looking at a 2 stroke polaris trail boss for myself. the seller
say sit has one problem it will need the toque converter finger replaced, he
said its no big deal and the part is under $30.00. Anyone in this group have
any idea if this could be true? I have done work on most anything but not
one of these. He said it keeps the flywheel balanced? hard to picture in my
mind.

I have no idea what it takes but a couple of questions come to mind.
If it's no big deal and only $30 then why hasn't he done the job ?
Why did it break in the first place. How many times has it broken
before. How long has he been running an unbalanced flywheel. I'd go
online searching for a parts diagram and post the same question on an
ATV site.

Is it this part? (this is from a 2003 model)
CLUTCH,DRIVEN,ASM.BLACK,40 DEG (Incl. 8-12,15-18)
1322180 1 $305.75
That's from www.ronnies.com - not the best prices around, but a
little more than $30 if that's the right part.
