Well, lets see. One my first day of riding, I tried to rip my arm off
and I didn't ride a single trail again the rest of the week. I
borrowed RahRah's KTM640 adventure bike and Tracy and I joined Jeff
Deeny, Paula and Jeff Wallace on a rode ride. It was lots of fun.
Riding up to the Trinity Lakes lookout, I was worried the downhill
might would be a problem in my shoulders state at the time. It
wasn't. Let's just say that I could EASILY talk Tracy into us picking
up a similar bike for jeep road exploring. She had a blast on back
rocking outr the ipod while I drifted it lazily thru the turns. I was
basically relegated to camp bitch. Oh well, I still had a ton of fun.

Bummer about the severed arm.
On a completely non-related note, I moved roughly 50 tons of stone by
hand this past weekend, so I can kinda relate to severed arms. I have
another 150 tons showing up starting this afternoon. Ugh.

Glad you didn't succeed on that one...

Sounds like a plan is forming.

Day 1: no ride. Spent an extra half day getting there while we dealt
with a fridge issue.
Day 2: Rode Skeleton with Paula & a few other folks. This was quite
the introduction to side-hill. The step up near the beginning really
gets your attention if you look down. Most folks walked their bikes
across with spotters. The flowers on Skeleton were incredible. The
rocky troughs near the top haven't gotten any better since the last
time I rode it.
We headed down the bear creek road to Big Smokey, where only Paula,
myself, and Eric decided to run the Paradise trail. What a great
choice! The bottom section had the same sloughing away side hills
that I remembered. We took the road back to camp and celebrated with
our first dip in the hot springs.
TBC...
