I hear that the demonic possessions have been greatly reduced since
BMW bought Husky, so you should be good.

But, why would you need to replace your plastic? The new, reformed
Tami won't be crashing her new toy and damaging it, will she?
Surely not.

He said the same thing about my Ohlins. Of course, he can MAKE the
Zokes work as well as the Ohlins, but the Onlins already work that
well, and, well, they're freakin' Ohlins forks. I still look at them
as the best $650 I ever spent.
I've never talked to a dissatisfied customer of Les'. The man does
great work.

That IS pretty amazing, especially considering the world economy and
our place in it then and now.
Husky's really trying to draw people into the fold. Good for them.
> There's a dealer in NJ selling brand new 2008 Husky CR125s for $2999.
I remember seeing an add for Malcom Smith Motorsports last year where
they were selling leftovers, might have been '07's, for $1999. That
was an unbeleivably good deal, even if you just broke the bike up for
parts.
Hm-m-m-m, a Husky shifter cart...

You gonna wait for Christmas on that?

That sounds like a strong vote of confidence.
Did you leave camp that fateful day HOPING to break the Pampera in
half? I'm guessing not, because you didn't seem all that happy about
it at the time.

It looked like the back of the basement could be packed tighter...you
only need to free up about 20" of between-the-bikes space to squeeze
in one more. Trust me. I know.

Like Mother Theresa. The other one. Well, mine too, I guess, but she's
just not as widely known for it.

Um, not sure. Overcrowded?
No, that can't be it, yours already is.
Disorganized?
Good luck with that when you have Eric around.
Or perhaps you are claiming that size really DOES matter.
Sure. That must be it.
I wish I had a basement, it would really take a lot of pressure off of
the garage.
Don't bury the CR too deep. It deserves better than that.

Sucks about your sister and her husband. I hope they find something.

Well, if it leaves the family, I'm just saying give us a shout. No
guarantees we'll be able to swing it right then either, but Scott
really liked that bike.

Nonsense. A 125 will be WAY easier to ride that way than the 200 was.
And as it turned out, you were much better ON the 200 than you turned
out to be OFF of it. The riding wasn't pretty, but you really sucked
at walking on that trail..

Well, shit, you already have the SM610, the 450EX/C, the 280 Pampera,
the GasGas 250 sorta, and the still-very-moto-oriented CR125, so other
than picking up an ATK 700 Intimidator, I can't think of what else
such a person could want or need.
Ride it in good health, Tami. I'm looking forward to seeing it in
action.

Yeah, that was a really rough transition. I don't doubt that Husky
lost a few customers over that fiasco. You'd think BMW would know how
to take over a really small company, but no...

Absolutely not. Hell, I can't afford it any more, physically or
financially. I have new insurance as of last January. An x-ray that
used to be a $20 co-pay now costs me $186. All of a sudden my ankle
feels a *whole* lot better.

That was a really cool feature of the GG's. Too bad they don't do it
anymore. Every now and again I see a set of them for sale on the GG
forum.

Yep, roger that.

So, it turns out that the OTD prices of my `97 and the new `09 were
going to be exactly the same (taxes are much higher now.) I mentioned
this to my dealer last week and told him that I thought the Huskys
were a great deal.
When I got there last night and went to sign the papers, he told me
he'd reduced the price as he didn't want to get beat by the old Honda.
He said he didn't want people running around saying the
Huskys were too expensive. How's that for super-cool?

Maybe Scott can get himself one and earn some HuskyBucks on it? Hell,
even I can win $50 if I take a C-Women win at the local enduro!
...not that I'm thinking about that or anything...

LOL! I'll probably have to! I don't think my savings account can take
another hit right about now. I might not even want it, we'll see how
it goes when it comes time to re-do the top end.

Well, you know me: confidence has always been my strong suit. And my
downfall, sometimes...

I was not happy at all. At least, not til I mustered up the courage to
call Baxter and found out that Dan had already talked to him and he
had Tracy's Pampera all loaded up for me already <G>

We managed to squeeze it into the garage last night, but it wasn't
easy! It took almost no effort at all, though, to pick up the rear end
and scooch it over a bit. After riding the 610 and the 450 this thing
feels like a bicycle!

Well, she is in *this* household! That woman has been my salvation
more than once, that's for sure.

It's buried pretty deep right at the moment, but after riding it a few
weeks ago, Eric and I both decided we'd like to take it out to a
<gulp> track sometime soon. I wanna hammer on the WR in order to get
the suspension broken in, and maybe Eric can ride it while I do that.
It'll be fun! Kinda like old times when we actually used to be able to
dice with each other. You know, before he left me in the dust on the
trails...

3 out of us 5 girls are unemployed right now. Eric and I have been
really fortunate in that we're still working 40 hours a week. The
hotel is going strong.

I think everyone that's ever ridden it has had a ball on it. It's the
best bike I've ever owned. No problems, no issues (well, it eats
clutch cables and maims me on occasion, but still) and always runs
like a top.

Speaking of which, my knee guy said there's still brusing evident in
the knee I hurt up there. I still can't believe I did *that* much
damage just slipping and falling on my ass.
I must be getting old or something. It doesn't hurt anymore so I
declare myself 100% healed. Let's go riding!

Ooh...I forgot about that ATK. Thanks for the suggestion, Tim!

Oh, I am, too! Eric and I are going out this weekend. We won't be
getting a whole lot of miles in, it'll mostly be just tuning and
trying to dial in the suspension as best we can. Lots of stop `n go
stuff. I hope there's some good terrain features for me, as both my
feet are a full 8"
(as measured by Eric's expert carpenter eye...I guessed only 6" LOL!)
off the ground when sitting on it. We'll do our best to try to have
some fun while we're at it <G>

I could be wrong (and often am), but I believe that the Ohlins forks
and shock are still available as standard items on the GasGas "Race"
models.
Good Riding on that new bike. Les can work magic on those 50mm
'Zoke forks.

Well, let's see...the 18th anniversary of my 29th birthday, perhaps. I
only feel 21...but that's in dirtbike years, which really translates
to about 105.

Hah! You think I'm actually going to click on a link in one of your

Well, yes...you could say that...

Thanks! I feel a week-long celebration is totally appropriate, as
well.
