Dear All,

because there is a need for a minitractor on "the fields surrounding our
stables" (almost half an acre), i now decided to try and rebuild my atc125m.
It was given to me because it leaks oil faster than one can pour it in,
engine didnt run, tyres were flat, all plastics, seat and finaldrivechain
were missing, sprockets were worn flat.

Getting the engine to fireup required just basic tank-petcock-fuelline-carb
cleaning.

Took me 2 days to get the countersprocket out...that requires splitting the
cases as it is wedged in between gearbox and secondairy gearbox.
In the process i found (and hopefully, cured) the cause of the heavy
leaking...chainslap made nasty bumps on the mating-edges of both cases.
Another thing i found is that the gears of the secundaiy gearbox are missing
halve and whole teeth here and there......bad news.

Reartyres now hold air the way they should, allthough they are impersonating
slicks.
Front tyre refuses to hold air, almost moderate knobbies on it.
Two out of three ain't bad, no?

For a seat i want something like a tractor-style spring-suspended
panseat..or whatever i can find in my shed.

Plastics are not really high on my list of "need to have's", as is a tractor
style steeringwheel instead of the handlebar....might be nice much lateron.

Soooo....now i have to go on a queste to gather oilseals, gaskets, gears and
sprockets.
Ebay, extensive googling and irritating every bikeshopowner nearby will get
me the things i need.
As usual i will post progress ;)

Grtz, PymerOne.

really?

so, if you use it every day, you will need to split cases every 18
months, including removing clutch, magneto, cylinder?

doesn't sound like a great design... sometimes I think Honda engineers
have no mother... :/

Its a 5-part case design...only need to take off the 2 leftmost parts.
Messy, but quite do-able.

no comment ;)

Yesterday i ordered for secondhand subtransmission parts...with a little
luck those will hold for a while.
Drive sprockets and chain will be looked into next week, temporarely ran out
of projectmoney.
Heaps of things to do...wheel bearings, sadle, airfilter, just to name a
few.
My brother is currently working on a normalsize full options tractor
(McCormic), i kinda want to get my mini tractor running before he can bring
that supertool to our mini ranch.
Luckily he stumbled onto a BMW r850rt, that will divert his attention ;)
We towed the beamer in today after work, one seriously heavy nonrunning
piece of machinery!

oopsie, my brain has gone AWOL, i am gone crash now ;)
