Superb 1st race. Marred somewhat by Haga sliding off.
Usual chaos in WSS at Brands. Rea came good again, but Chris Jones ended
up lying on the track unconscious after a vicious high side in
Clearways. He apparently woke up in the helicopter so lets hope he's ok.
The second race had its moments but fell a bit flat as various people's
tyre choices didn't work. Biaggi did what is probably the fastest bit of
grass tracking we've seen for a while on the exit of Graham Hill.
And Kiyo is having a great time. Wins Suzuka last weekend and then gets
the double this weekend. I have this vague memory of somebody who should
remain nameless being pretty harsh on him earlier in the year as a
typical example of a BSB refugee who was doing nothing in WSB. Time to
think again?
Both WSB and BSB are going to a "devil take the hindmost" final
qualifying to replace Superpole. Really not sure if that's a good thing
or not.

Latest news is not good. He's in a neuro unit in an artificial coma
after receiving severe head trauma.
It was a low side but he may have been hit by a following rider. Though
it didn't take anyone else down.

He didn't make it:

Terrible shame - he was a real talent.

And what's amazing is that he's never seen the place before!
Oh, wait a second...

I'd favor the change, never liked SP that much after the initial
freshness wore off. I like the idea of just a few guys out there
settling it without backmarkers factoring. Although I'd probably favor
heat races with some points rewarded - you want Saturday interest,
there's the formula.
And it's amusing that DMG is using SP for multiple classes next year,
taking a now-declared failed formula off the scrape heap. It's pretty
early in their days to already be saying "typical stuff for those clowns"...

I've never liked Superpole, so I think it's good. Getting rid of the
slower riders makes it less likely that the fast riders will have a
hot lap screwed up.
