So was the ASB race any good? Looking just at the timing screens, it
seems like the race at the front probably was apart from the back
markers, but it looks awfully thin behind that.

Did Hodgson nearly win a race? That would have been a turn up for the
books.

I just saw the posted results, and none of the time, so hard to say how
close Neil got. But it was a good showing by the top 3, that's for sure.

The descriptions I've seen make it sound like Mladin had made a break
and Hayden was making a run at him at the end, but got balked in the
chicane by backmarkers (backmarkers? I though Rog got rid of those) and
that's what allowed Hodgson to draft by him on the banking. So it
doesn't sound like Neil had a real shot at Mat.

So any word on post-race tech, or pre-event tech for that matter? Are
they basically ignoring the rulebook, are there guys getting bounced or
is everyone basically racing stock bikes? I haven't seen any backstory
on this mess yet. But Mat and Tommy were on '08 machines.

In a 25 minute race? On a 1m38 lap? This isn't a wet BSB race on the
Brands Indy circuit. So was that Higbee on the Buell at the chicane?
