MotoGP to Indy a done Deal!

 

    SpeedTV's Robin Miller is reporting MotoGP in Indy - 2008!

 This is great for the sport but I'm disappointed that MotoGP isn't coming to a
more interesting track.

I can see where you are coming from with this, but I actually think
it's the right track to go to. Laguna has a history of MotoGP and is
plenty "interesting". The only other tracks I can see MotoGP running
at are Miller Motosports Park, Daytona, or Barber Motorsports Park.

Miller has the world class course, but is in the middle of nowhere and
is too new. I'm not really sure, but I'd guess that they don't have
the facilities to support several tens of thousands of spectators.
(assuming that they could even draw that kind of crowd)

Daytona is overrated in my mind, and I have a hard time imagining
MotoGP at Daytona. (can't explain it, it just seems weird)

As for Barber Motorsports Park, It's an awesome track and plenty
"interesting". I think all the riders would love the track, but I
can't imagine the track fitting as many people as it would need or
want to for a race of this caliber.

Indy has the history, name, facilities, and because of the grand
stands, I can actually see them easily fitting more people than will
probably even show up. I can't wait to see these MotoGP machines on
the Nascar banking! I think it will be a really interesting race and
can't wait to see it. You can bet that I'll be there!!!

HAHA!!! OK, very true... I'm sure that didn't sound good at all. But
just to make things absolutely clear. I don't watch or follow Nascar
at all. My personal opinion is that it's a waste of motorsports. But
that's a whole 'nother topic.
