I love the anecdotal evidence. Well, I was last in Spain 16 years ago,
and I don't recall seeing large numbers of big sportbikes, certainly
fewer than I was used to seeing on the streets in San Francisco. I do
recall seeing lots of 125 two-strokes, though. Things may have changed
significantly since then, of course. But I'd be surprised if Spain is a
bigger big bike market than the UK, Germany, Italy.
Btw, there was no French GP 15 years ago, in 1993. GP went to Ricard in
1991 and not again until 1996; the '92 GP was at Magny Cours, and 94-95
at Le Mans.

Sure, it was 91, then. When I said "15 years ago", I was being
approximate. If I was trying to be specific, I'd have named the year.

Ah, wasn't Eddie on the box that weekend on the Cagiva? And they'd
already clipped one testicle off the Mistral by then, right, using that
nadgerous chicane, right?
Anyway, I wasn't doubting your recollections, I was just assisting you
in honing in your memory on when it was.

Yep, that's right.

Sure - no problem.
