Anybody get to see this today? Came on 1030 EST, listed in Comcast's
online listing as "original air date 3/4/2008" because they usually
run World Superbike on Tuesday at 1:00!
Lots of action and a couple of odd wrecks and one pretty spectacular
one (fortunately worse injury was a broken arm).

Bayliss aired it out on his "home track" for what they say is the last
time. I did not realize he was retiring. Looked like Mladin or Spies
when one or the other gets away on their respective Gixxers in AMA.
Bayliss admitted in the post-race interview after race 1 that if
Biaggi had not crashed he probably would have caught him.
Max had a VERY bad weekend...
Fabrizio (sp?) had an awesome run in race one after being involved in
a freakish startline crash on launch when he stalled and was run over.

Someone needs to teach these guys what to do when you stall on the
grid. Wave your arms and be as obvious as possible!!! When you
hunker down and look behind you the guys at the back have a hard time
telling that you're not moving until it's too late. You don't have
very much directional control when launching so it's hard to miss
someone directly in front of you when you have no warning.

This the one? It's very high speed and he got quite lucky, the bike came
down from orbit and landed what looks like a few inches away from him. But
not sure I see what you see as far as flying and getting crossed up goes!

i think he meant flying as in "going fast" and crossed up being where
he lost it.

Looks to me like the braking lifted his back whell a bit but when it acme down
if was a little off line, that seemd to induce a head shake and then if was
down and out.

pretty bad weekend for max - I can't remember the last time i saw him crash
and to do it twice in a weekend. and he really could of scored serious points
had he kept the rubber side down.
