Fairly tight so far, the top three anyway. Chris V. over 5 secs off the
pace? 17 looks a little slim too, but at least KR made it to the test...

1.7s off Rossi on a brand new bike straight out of the box that was just
a bunch of cad/cam files 2 months ago is an astonishing achievement.
And yes, 17 is it. The only person missing is Tamada and the only other
half way likely starter is Jacques on a 3rd Kawasaki. So it looks like
we'll only have 18 on the grid this year.

Absolutely! A week or so ago they weren't even sure they'd be ready to
make the trip.

I forgot about Tamada-san, so at least 18, huh? I guess it could be worse...
On a side note, interesting article from Mat at the soup site...

I wonder if this is an all new frame, and if not, how much engineering it
took to get the Honda engine shoehorned in. You're right, though, it is a pretty
amazing feat to get the bike ready this quickly. Lot's of overtime at KR's shop.

Yeah, but when you have a former world champion in the saddle...
It was always said that the KR chassis was pretty good, and it held both
a V4 and V5 previously. Perhaps it didn't need too much tweaking to get
it working with the Honda V5? My thinking has been with sufficient
financing, the kind that can pay for a second rider and sufficient
testing, this deal could really take off. An inspired KRJR, Michelin
tires, a Honda motor - not a bad start...

So is WCM/KTM definitely out? Hadn't read that...
