"As I was leaving the track on Friday, the GP guys were going out for
there last practice session of the day. I hadn't watched them at that
point as I was busy with the normal duties of being at the racetrack. I
stopped outside turn four and watched a few laps. They certainly are
noisy. Actually if you shut your eyes and just listened, you would
believe that they are going 300mph. It was weird, the noise over-powered
the motorcycles performance if you know what I mean; it was a mis-match
of sorts."

"Now, I don't want to start comparing this and that, but I found it
amusing that the top few Superstock bikes would have made the grid in
front of some of the GP bikes. A twenty thousand dollar street/race bike
is faster than twenty-percent of the GP field. That has to be a kick in
the teeth for the team owners/managers of those teams. We've read all
year how they are multi- million dollar efforts and they have this and
they are GP and they do that and that little Jimmy is so clever and has
been working on the design of that motor and little Johnny came up with
the chassis that is so great and this guy has been in GP for a million
years, etc etc. It must be humbling when any guy on the street can build
a bike out of a dealership and go faster. I guess they can say that they
are part of the Moto GP circus though."

Bigass f'ing ouch! A quote by the man, Mladin....

Whoever claims this is an idiot, inccluding Mladin. His bike is $20k? It
shows the fool didn't have to pay for it.

I found it odd that KRJR was complaining about how their
traction control kind of sucks, when supposedly traction
control is why the GSXR1000 is kicking so much ass
in AMASB and WSB.  Does Suzuki just not care about
how their MotoGP bike performs?  Why do they seem
to spend all of their effort on superbike?

Actually, there is no traction control on Mat's bike, other than the
right grip. It's how much and when you turn it.....

That is what Matt claims.  But I have read that the WSB guys
admit to having traction control and that it is supposedly
on the AMA superbikes too, but who knows.
