One could suggest that it's little different from Rossi being taken

That won't happen, Repsol are footing a large part of the Works Honda
bill and want a Spanish rider out there , just like Honda US are
paying to have the 12th best rider in MotoGP on the works Honda. If it
weren't for that money Hayden would be in a satellite team.

I see Repsol stickers, but I don't see Honda USA stickers on those
bikes...

That'd be a bit pointless since he's racing mainly in Europe, but I
think you'll find that Honda US are footing the bill for some or all
of his wages. Why else would he still be a works rider after his
pitiful performances since he first sat on a works Honda.
