I've just heard that our School (Engineering and Design) is entering
an electric-engined Triumph 650(675?) in the inaugural TTXGP race. They are
hoping for a lap-time near to 100 mph.
They'll be looking for a professional rider -- Champ? I'll make my
interest known for developmental work... :-)

Pit stop's going to be interesting:
"And here comes number 57, the rider puts a foot down and rides into the
pit box. A professional team swings into action, they're wiping his
visor, checking the bike and now... They've plugged it in and all gone
to the van for a cuppa! Sensational!"

Given that they are hoping for close to 100 mph and the battery
life is projected to be 22 minutes, I think there'll be enough excitement.
Hmm, Champ, anyone, how much fuel does a 650/750 use on a 100 mph
lap of the circuit? I think I need to check some energy-density calcs.
